Preferences: Sequence Numbering
Sets the next sequential numbers for various items (i.g., Quotes, Invoices, Jobs). These settings are important if you are converting from another system and already have number sequencing in progress.
PrintPoint 6500 Client > Preferences > Sequence Numbering
- 'Set Next' Buttons : Press the buttons to assign or reassign the next used numbers for the various areas shown.
- Automatic Job Numbering: Put a mark in the checkbox if you want PrintPoint to automatically assign job numbers (numeric only) to new jobs. Using Automatic Job Numbering is important because unique (non-duplicated) numbers are essential for many of PrintPoint’s automatic invoicing and shipping features. If you did not select Automatic Job Numbers, PrintPoint allows you to specify your own Job Numbers.
- Use Estimate Number for Job Number: Put a mark in the checkbox if you want PrintPoint to use the estimate number when creating a job ticket
- Use Alpha Sequence letters for Linked jobs: Check this box to use alpha instead of numerals for linked jobs. An alpha linked job number would be 1001.A. If you do not check the box a linked job number would be 1001.1.
- Linked Job Separator: This is the symbol you want to use between the job number and the alpha or numeric linked number.
- Use Job Number for Invoice Number: Put a mark in the checkbox if you want PrintPoint to use the job number when creating an invoice.
- Use Job Number for Purchase Order Number: Put a mark in the checkbox if you want PrintPoint to use the job number when creating a purchase order.
